A new Junkers watch inspired by the A50 Junior Tour 2025

With the A50 D-MQUI, we present a model that captures the fascination of flying in the open cockpit - precise, robust and with a direct reference to Claus Cordes' European tour.Just like the A50 Junior, the new D-MQUI watch also stands for reduced, direct flying. No barriers, no excess comfort - just technology, movement and eye contact with the sky.

The new Junkers A50 D-MQUI GMT

The dial in corrugated metal design is reminiscent of the characteristic structure of historic Junkers aeroplanes. The red GMT display enables a second time zone to be read simultaneously, making it particularly practical for those who are often on the move. The DMQUI application and the A50 engraving on the case back refer to the original aeroplane - a piece of modern aviation history, captured on your wrist.

  • - Ronda GMT quartz movement
  • - Water-resistant up to 10 atm
  • - Screw-down pilot's crown
  • - A50 applique on the dial

About the A50 Junior Europe Tour 2025

Inspired by Junkers' pioneering long-haul flights in the 1930s, this summer we embarked on a spectacular tour of Europe with the new A50 Junior. The 42-day journey began on 7 June 2025, covering more than 14,000 kilometres and passing through more than 12 countries. At the controls was a single pilot: Claus Cordes, President of the German Aeroclub, who travelled the entire route in his own A50 Junior, D-MQUI.

Along the way, there were numerous stops to take part in local air shows. The passion and enthusiasm shown to the pilot at each stop was a real highlight of the trip. The aim was to revive the pioneering spirit of the past and, above all, to show how breathtakingly beautiful it can be to fly through Europe in an open aircraft. And we succeeded - see for yourself!
